Giggling Gelatin

These are always a big hit at any party.

Creamy gigglers

You’ll need:

Stir, for at least 3 minutes, gelatin with the boiling water in bowl. Make sure the gelatin is completely dissolved. Mix together in another bowl the cold milk and instant pudding. Pour the pudding into the cooled gelatin mixture. Beat with a whisk for one minute. Pour the mixture into a lightly oiled 9 by 13 inch pan. Use a smaller pan for thicker servings. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or until firm. Use cookie cutters to make your gigglers or cut into squares. Lift from the pan and put on a plate. These are fun to eat and play with!

Ice cream maker delights

Easy Frozen Yogurt

Blend ingredients together and use ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s directions.
Makes about 1 quart

Orange Ice

Blend well and pour into ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s directions.

Crispy Rice Bars


You can cut these out with cookie cutters to match the theme of your party or just for fun.
Have your child help count the marshmallows and measure the ingredients.


Melt the butter in a large heavy-duty pan, add marshmallows, and stir until melted.
Remove from heat and add Crispy Rice cereal. Quickly stir until well blended.

Using buttered hands or wax paper press into a 13 by 9-inch pan. Cut with cookie cutters. You can use colored sugar or sprinkles to make the bars more festive. Makes 24 two-inch square bars.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Bars


In a large heavy-duty saucepan place corn syrup, honey and sugar, over medium heat and stirring constantly combine together until the mixture boils. Stir in peanut butter thoroughly. Add cereal and combine until well blended. Press into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan. For a thicker bar press into an 8 x 8 pan.

Over low heat melt together the butterscotch and chocolate chips stirring until melted to a smooth consistency. Spread over the bars and cool before cutting. Before the icing firms you can decorate it with gummy candies for the theme of your party. These taste like crunchy peanut butter cups.

 

Party Cakes your children can help make

Cookie Cake

This is a super easy cake when you use refrigerator dough. I get the largest one.

Press into a greased round pizza pan your favorite cookie dough. Bake at 375 degrees 20 to 25 minutes or until done.

You can break the cookie into pieces when you serve it and add a dip of soft frosting for dipping.

Easy Birthday Cake

You can buy plain sheet cakes in the grocery bakery or in the frozen food section. You can your child can even bake a sheet cake and frost it.

Decorating a cake can be done easily with these following items:

Just use your imagination! Make sure you wash any plastic toys before putting them on the cake.

Pizza Desert Islands

Spread muffins with jelly and let the kids pile on their favorite fruit. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Yum!

Build a cake

Some of the most creative cakes can be built and frosted by you and your children. You can buy cream filled cupcakes, cream filled sponge cakes, marshmallow cream with coconut balls, and various candies and cookies. Use a large platter, lots of frosting, and your imagination in making your architectural masterpiece.

 

Soda Pop Cake

Fun ingredients make this cake tasty.

Mix all ingredients with an electric mixer until thoroughly blended, about one minute.>br? Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

Frosting

In a pan cook together mix well

Frost the cake and decorate with a tropical theme, such as paper umbrellas, suckers and jellybeans in a flower pattern. You can add even plastic palm trees, flowers and dinosaurs to be taken off before eating.
