Polar Marine

It's winter in the northern hemisphere which reminds me of The Arctic and Antarctic. The Arctic is covered by ice and glaciers. Antarctica is a landmass covered by an ice sheet.

We have a great newsletter on The Arctice Biome. Polar bears live in the Arctic area. They are great swimmers. There are birds that live in the polar regions year-round! Migrating birds feed and nest in the polar regions during their summer months. They vary from waterfowl to song birds.

Whales are a part of the polar marine regions. Some live there year round while others migrate seasonally. Penguins live in the southern hemisphere. These amazing birds don't fly but are great swimmers and are the kings of Antarctica.

The Arctic and Antarctic biomes are connected to the oceans.
