Farmer ants like to live near trees and bushes. They have an insect friend called an aphid. They find aphids on the leaves of bushes. The aphids love this home because there is so much good food to eat. He eats and eats and gets bigger and bigger. The farmer ant comes and milks the aphid's honeydew for his big ant family. The aphid doesn’t care because the farmer ant will make sure he will always have plenty of food to eat. The farmer ant takes very good care of his herd of aphids. He will even move his herd if they are in danger.

Look for Ants when the weather gets warm and see if ants are everywhere
